The Role of the Thoracic Surgeon in the Treatment of Lung Cancer

Dr. Robert J. Caccavale, MD, FACS, of Thoracic Group will deliver a speech on Thursday, January 22 from 8 to 9 a.m. entitled The Role of the Thoracic Surgeon in the Treatment of Lung Cancer in the Fuld Auditorium at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerset.

At the conclusion of the presentation by Dr. Caccavale, participants will be able to describe the history, incidence, and outcomes of lung cancer; define the current recommendations and guidelines for lung cancer screening; explain the role and applications of minimally invasive thoracic surgery to the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer; and explain the role of biomarkers utilization and cell cycle progression gene analysis in directing treatment.

The presentation also provides CME (Continuing Medical Education) credits geared toward physicians.
